Meghan Markle Shares Sweet Easter Surprise in Candid Video
While the rest of the British Royal Family gathered in Windsor for their traditional Easter Sunday service, Meghan Markle took a more low-key (but totally adorable) approach to the holiday.
The Duchess of Sussex delighted her 2.7 million Instagram followers with a surprise behind-the-scenes moment from her Easter weekend — and honestly, it’s the kind of wholesome content we needed.
In a short video posted to her grid on Sunday (Monday local time), Meghan caught a heart-melting scene: a little family of ducklings waddling across the road. Yep, right out of a children’s book — and perfectly on theme for the holiday.

She captioned the post with a simple but sweet message:
“Wishing you a Happy Easter full of love….and surprises!”
To make the moment even more charming, the video was set to the upbeat tune of Choo Choo Ch’Boogie by Louis Jordan. As the tiny ducklings made their way in a line from one side of the road to the other, Meghan can be seen watching in delight, clearly captivated by the cuteness.
She looked effortlessly chic in a white halterneck dress — classic Meghan — and later shared the same heartwarming clip to her Instagram Stories with the caption:
“An Easter weekend surprise!” 💕
It’s been a busy few months for Meghan. She’s been hard at work launching her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, kicking off a podcast, and teasing an upcoming Netflix project.
Meanwhile, across the pond, the royal family marked Easter in classic fashion with their annual Sunday Mattins service at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. King Charles III and Queen Camilla led the procession, joined by a host of familiar faces including Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh with their son James, Sarah Ferguson, and her daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. Even Prince Andrew made an unexpected appearance.
Notably absent? Prince William, Princess Catherine, and their three kids. For the second year in a row, the Wales family skipped the Windsor festivities, reportedly choosing instead to spend the holiday at their countryside retreat, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk.
But back to Meghan — her sweet duckling moment was the kind of peaceful, feel-good surprise that reminded us all to stop and appreciate the little things. And really, who can resist a fluffy parade of ducklings on Easter?
